a figment of my imagination
i thought love was for us
but it seems to be a dream as if we weren’t to be
hoping love will love us back

like a rare gem, love is hard to find.

many have searched but only found fouls gold.

some have given up their hopes and dreams of love.

but still there are those who fight…

I’ve been there,

seen it with my own eyes.

lost hold of it,

held it again

and seen it disappear with no forwarding address.

LOVE!

a four letter word with so many meanings

a four letter word with so many, dream-ending

nightmares…

to be without it –

is like to be naked in a room of your peers.

to be without it –

is like to be lost in despair.

LOVE!

where would we be if it didn’t exist?

where would we be if it we didn’t know this,

power!

[whispers/soft spoken] of LOVE!

the bliss!

[whispers/soft spoken] of LOVE!

happiness!

[whispers/soft spoken]  in LOVE!

the feeling that love…

[whispers/soft spoken]  is… LOVE!

*a work in progress…

I’ve written to you

My hopes and dreams

Poured my heart out like spilled ink on a page

Turned to you when within was filled with rage

at times I made no sense

but you’ve seemed to clarify every word

every line

stanza

bar

haiku

couplet

cinquain

tanka and freed verse pursed through these lips

When I decided to quit

You remained snuggled in the depths of my mind

Echoing throughout every thought

every word and moment

every issue, situation

you stood patient waiting for me to return

Tears skating along side my face

loose grip

blank page

words runneth over like a tidal wave of emotions I can’t control

I’ve written to you

My hopes and dreams

Poured my heart out like spilled ink on a page

just so you would know you are loved…
